Church Life
New Here?

Our Sunday morning meetings usually start with a brief welcome followed by worship. Our meetings are very informal and people dress casually. Worship usually consists of singing modern worship songs accompanied by guitar, keyboards and other instruments and praying. The song words are projected on a screen. No one has to participate but lots of people contribute to the meeting by praying out loud or talking about things that God has shown them, from reading the Bible or some other way.
In addition a longer prepared talk is given that helps us to understand the teaching in the Bible, apply it to our lives and develop faith. Usually during this time children of primary school age and below have their own meetings in a neighbouring room. All children’s work leaders have been CRB checked.
There is a collection for the Church family to give money towards the work of the Church. Don’t feel you have to contribute. Most giving is done by committed members of the Church through standing orders.
Once a month we share bread and wine (grape juice) to celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection. If you’re not a Christian it’s okay just to pass it on to the next person.
The meeting usually lasts one and three-quarter hours. Afterwards most people stay around to chat, get to know one another and have refreshments. Visitors often remark how friendly they find it – like being a part of a large family.
